We took the tin out of the cent in 1962, so 1969 cents are of a brass alloy.

Cents from 1793 through 1857 (large cents only) were copper
Cents from 1856 through 1864 were 88% copper, 12% nickel
Cents from 1864 through 1961 were bronze (copper and tin alloy)
Cents from 1962 through 1982 were brass (copper and zinc alloy, but mostly ((95%)) copper)
Cents from 1982 to 2007 are still technically brass, but are mostly zinc.
