Scanner's broke....does this camera do a card justice???

My scanner AND my good digital are both broke so I took a phot with a cheap digital that I've had for a long time. Does this photo do a card justice if sellin on Ebay, or should I wait til I get the scanner fixed??

Some folks would bid, some would not.

The background color is not good. The shot
    makes the slab look frosty.

I would grab a cheap scanner at WalMart.

Claude, I think it depends on how much you're hoping to get for it. If I'm spending a lot I want to see the left lower corner better, and maybe the back. There's 2 seavers already on ebay, an 8ST and a 7.

  • I believe a good picture along with a very good description makes a big difference. For Example take these two auctions that ended 2 hours apart:
    The Other Guys Auction

    My Auction

But I did have Bold Title.

Go to Walmart and buy a scanner

As a buyer it does not matter much to me. The picture is good enough especially since it is in a holder and has a grade. That is just my 2 cents.
  • if you can adjust the color and reduce the yellowing...it would be fine.

Well, my HP combination scanner/printer/copier just arrived. Ordered online from Walmart for only $45!!! After I get it set up when I get home from work I'll scan again and post here....don't know how good the scan will be from a unit that only cost $45 but it's gotta be better than that cheap digital camera!!

Well, here is the card using the new scanner....not sure if I have it set up right. Is there a way to set it up to get better detail?? The scanner is the left image and the cheap digital camera is the right image.

Unfortunately the combination scanner/copier/printers do a pretty shoddy job of each. For eBay sales on low dollar stuff you can probably get my, but to get really nice results you'll probably have to spring for a Microtek or Canon.

No such details will spoil my plans...

    Much better than the camera.

Play with the software that came with the machine.

Experiment until you get it where you like it.
