Spreadsheet suggestions for tracking collection?

Curious if anybody has any spreadsheet set up on either Microsoft or Excel or the likes that is a good source for tracking your collection...what you paid for card, current value of card, what you sold cards for...etc. I know there are a couple online things..but I want something I can track and plug in while I'm not online...if anyone has ever set one up please email me at dfaust@blountconstruction.com

Thanks! image

search this board for excel. there is a nice set up there. you might have to modify it for your needs but that means just adding a few columns. you could probably import prices from beckett via the same method if you are on that site. beckett also has an onsite method as well. you make a collection, add cards and if you have a subscription it will update the prices. from there you should be able to import the data just like is described on the excel thread on this board. hope this helps. the info is in here.

not sure if you use MS Access, but I think it lends itself better to card inventories....that's what I use.

I use Excel to track my non-graded Ripken collection.

This thread seems a bit calmer than the 54 version!

I use JEB's sheets as well, I started with a few and then he built me a custom stack that includes all the sets I have and has a summary sheet at the front, with running totals of # of cards owned for each set, GPA (based on registry weighting), cost and SMR totals, and a lot of other info.

if you follow the simple instrutions on the excel thread you can do the same thing from psa's site. i use access as well but excel can serve the same purpose too. plus with the sheets at the bottom you have all of your sets accessible at once. where as in access you need to open another database, unless you have one mega database.
