Where do I go? Modified

I am a long time collector and a relatively new poster. I've mostly been focusing on Morgan and Peace dollars, upgrading and filling in the
missing holes. But I am beginning to get bored. I haven't purchased anything for a while, I have mostly been selling duplicates on ebay or
privately. I have purchased a few nice type coins in between my Morgans. I have a few nice MS Walkers, Mercury's, and Barbers. I also have
purchased a few matte proof Lincolns on this journey. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would derive pleasure from Lincolns but
I seem to have the matte bug. I have always found the Seated Liberty series to be fascinating. Is it common for a collector
to experience what's going through my mind now?. Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. I would also prefer to
concentrate on an area that is slow right now. I would like to get better bang for my buck.
Thanks
Bruce

edit>> Didn't see that you modified it. The open question, though OT, was interesting enough.
You are a typical collector. A lot of us like all the candy in the store. It's a good question too. If you are drawn to many different series, finding the one that is temporarily out of favor does represent often the better buying opportunity. Pick one that has proven cyclically popular though. Seated can be a monstrous challenge. When I did them, I was tackling the rare varieties and that can get insane and you can be met by a very thin market later when you want to sell and move on to something else. There are some great seated guys on here who could advise on the better approaches though. You might also consider type collecting. That can span a significant time period and just get the best examples in your budget of the type that is out of favor at any given time, at least some of the time. Good luck whichever way you do go!
