Non-paying bidder?

I'm a little confused as to why somebody would set up an account, bid on items that cost $150-$300, and just not pay....does this guy really think I'm going to ship an item without having the payment in hand?...

I don't get it.

btw - if your wondering why I posted that, this person bought a 2004 WS ticket off me 2 days ago...apparently I should stop waiting for the money order.

Why didn't you neg him then?

"she" told me 2 days ago that she dropped a money order in the mail the morning after the auction ended, so I figured I'd see it on Monday, and thus had no reason to neg her...in the two days since the auction, she got 10 negative FB's...seems pointless to leave one now.

thing is, I noticed in the past 2 weeks that she was buying every 2004 WS ticket in sight for exorbitant amounts, yet her FB was only 2, so naturally I was concerned....I emailed her after the auction ended, explaining that I've followed her recent bidding activity and she gave me this great story of how she works for this huge law firm and is charged with buying 12 2004 WS tickets for board members....seemed believable enough. I was even trying to line up another sale for a phantom Game 7 ticket she was willing to buy for $250.....oh well.

I'm just trying to wrap my arms around what is going through this person's head - "I know...I'll set up an account, buy these expensive items and not pay for them...and sellers will just mail them to me on faith that I have dropped a check in the mail???" At least if you are going to pull that stunt, try it on someone with less than 5 feedback, maybe then you'd have some luck. This is one of the most moronic things I've ever come across.

    jdip,

I agree, sorry i misread before.

maybe they (the lawyers) told her to forget it after she went out and did this? Not knowing the extent to which she went?

I dunno I just killed a bat that was flying in my comp room and my heart is prolly 200/100 right now.

    lol.....I hate bats, too...

reminds of the time in college when my roommate took a full swing with a tennis racket at a bat in mid flight...sent it flying aginst the wall.

"She" even left positive feedback for all the dozens of fake bids. LOL
