Not sent in yet, but what do you think about these 2 Peace Dollars.

Be honest.

IMO I think PCGS is being really tough on Peace Dollars lately so I wouldn't send them in now.

    As for grade; also IMO

    MS63 and not really attractive

    MS64

I don't do Peace Dollars, but I like the lustre on that second one alot.

The first one......eh, I would pass if offered to me.

Low 60's on both. Save your cash.

62 and 64 I like them both but there is little upside to entombing them.
  • Not bad,I would say they are MS,depending on who you send them to for grading. But to be honest I was looking more for some VAM varieties on these coins.

I my opinion these coins are not good candidates for certification.

Why would you waste your money and send in the two most common Peace dollars that are average at best? I suppose the 1925 might be more common.
You'll be spending almost more for grading than the value of the coin. That doesn't make a whole lotta of sense to me..

  • common dates, common grades. first one looks like it has an unattractive album toning (golden) kind of blotchy. nice luster on the second one. both are ms-63ish...

Agree with the others -- unless these are rare VAMs, not worth certifying. Look MS 61/62 to me.

I really like Peace Dollars but pretty much what everyone else said...unless these are a rare VAM (sorry but I am not really into them that much so can't tell without looking them up!) I would not send them in. I would guess 63 on the grades tops which at the current price levels the grading fee would be a large % of the coins value.

    Have a good one!

All above comments are very welcomed....I am not into collecting them yet, decided to pop for a couple of em and see how they would do.

PS....yes, one of them is a decent VAM and the coin is angled a bit to mask one of the PUP's image

Does the 23 have a die gouge that starts from the neck and heads out into the field?

BTW, common date 63's at best. Not worth the slabbing fees.

Not a high enough grade to justify sending them in so save your money.

For 1922 and 1923, MS65 would be a good grade to send in unless you're just flexing your wings.
