I think poor Sparky in his old age realized he wouldnt fit it in at the rate he was going so he took a detour up the card. It looks like he was still trying to make the letters as he was turning upwards. Just think we will all be like that one day...
i have a Musial auto i got at the hall of fame in the 80's when they signed for free. he came down off of the balcony where the HOF's were signing and signed for the rest of people in the line, Class A guy. when he got to mine and he was finishing the "L" he stopped it short and didn't go all the way down through and realized that that's not how he signed so he tried to complete the "L", with a sharpie of course, and it's just a squiggly line. the sig looks fine except the out of place line. he apoligized for the sig not being perfect. i'll tell you i wouldn't sell that picture for love or money and it's a great story i have from being a 14 year old kid interacting with a HOF player and gentleman.
just thought i'd share that since the anderson auto looks similar. you know he signed it personally and it's different from everyone else's
