to my weakened vision both of these cards are similar in centering (one more to the left, the other to the right). can someone tell me the exact L/R centering of both of these?

My eyeballs tend to agree, somewhat.

I show the Howser as 42/58 and the Kranepool as 70/30 using JR screen ruler.

i would have guessed 70/30 on kranepool, but not howser at 58/42. (thought it would be much higher gap).

anyway i will have to accept them as a marginal 9 and an OC 9.

I used the bottom of the card to measure 70/30. If I measure from just below the top of the card I get 59/41. Using PSA standards if you accept the 70/30 as the worst point left to right then the O/C qualifier is justified. I re-checked the Howser with the same result so it appears the straight 9 is the proper grade atleast from a centering perspective.
