A LONG AWAITED ADDITION TO THE PC

I usually NEVER brag about what I purchase but I've been pretty fortunate the past couple of weeks. The last brag was a Ricky Williams auto #'d/10. Now this one. Not in hand yet but I couldn't wait. Anyway I've only seen a couple of these and I've been waiting for one to be up for sale. And I got it!!! You could call this a "White Whale" of mine. Behold: 2000 Collectors Edge Supreme RC of Lavar Arrington. Now I know what you're thinking, "yeah, so what". Well let me tell ya. Oh Lavar chose not to sign a license to allow his image to appear on cards after he was drafted. BUT CE "accidentally" printed some up. Well before they new it they had to pull them. Well some made their way into packs. They were replaced by the daunted mail in redemtion of Sylvester Morris(unfortunately I have this one too). These were originally suppose to be #'d/2000. Like I said I've only seen a couple of these in 6 years.

WAY nicer than the 2000 Upper Deck MVP "cut out" card. These had 80% of the card cut out... you just had the card border left basically. Still not sure how they got into packs like that rather than pulled... had to be UD being lazy bastids I reckon.

I remember when his Pros & Prospects was going for $100... right about the time I sold the heck out of the two I pulled. Of course I can't brag too much since I held tight to most of the Pros & Prospects rookie cards which all have fallen far from grace, so I ultimately took a proverbial bath on those overall.

Oh yeah, I remember them. I don't see what the attraction would be regarding a cut out card. But people buy em.

Congrats on the pickup. Thanks for the reminder about Sylvester Morris. 3 touchdowns in his first game and where is he now?

I just picked up another "white whale". These have been selling like crazy lately but I finally managed to get one. It's not in the greatest shape though. Paid about $10 more than I really wanted to but since I only paid about 1/2 of what I was expecting to pay for the Arrington. Oh well. It has "1999" on it but it actually inserted in the 2000 CE Supreme set. I know this because it has a PSA/DNA sticker on it and it's #'d to 1,000.
