Auction Advice?

They are having a state unclaimed property auction and apparently there is a Roberto Clemente signed card. This was from the contents of a safe deposit box, so there is some possiblity it might be real.

How would you go about deciding whether to bid on it?

By how much Seagram's 7 I had consumed at a local tavern prior to the auction's commencement.

Inspect the card. If it is real, bid what it would be
worth to you WITHOUT the sig.

Folks Who Bite Get Bitten. Folks Who Don't Bite Get Eaten.
  • So, in other words, if you had a chance to pick up a Roberto Clemente card with unauthenticated signature, you would pass up that chance even if the item goes for less than, oh say $40 ?
