Well first off, $2.00 doesn't cover $345 for insurance.

I'd personally send with insurance and delivery confirmation. You'd sleep better. And I think they have to sign for the item for something that valueable if you do use insurance.

Better to spend the extra $4 or $5 now and avoid any future problems.

  • Shake for both, if you are unsure, you want to be covered all in cases
  • if that was an Ebay sale and he paid with Paypal then you must have signature confirmation!! If you don't, it doesn't matter what else you did right, you won't be covered by Paypal's seller protection.

I repeat, you must have signature confirmation!!!
The signature required with the insurance doesn't count BTW, but still insure it. Insurance protects the SELLER. The person receiving the item cannot collect the insurance, so he is not covered - YOU are.

Editted to add: delivery confirmation is not needed if you do the signature confirmation.

If you do not get it mailed with SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION, and something goes wrong, practice bending over as if you are seeing a proctogist. Paypal WILL NOT rule in your favor.

Pay for the insurance, too. It is for the seller's
    protection, not the buyer's.

  • SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION...........

You have to mail it this way or you can be burned very easily.........

Hmm.. do you think I should get signature confirmation the next time I sell a card and use PayPal?

I usually "self insure" as I find the USPS fees are a little high. However, I would FOR SURE to sig confirmation. No question on that. Good luck!

    If it's over $250 then - YES!

Sig confirmation is required on items over $250!!! Do not risk the chargeback!!!!

Honestly, if your feedback is worth more than the $5.45 it would cost to insure...pay for it yourself and sleep well.
