Needing help with mid-vintage commons... going rate?

Alright... you're at a show... and shopping for commons... I'm looking at commons (ex-nm) from 1967 to '78.... what's a GOOD going rate for commons?

'67-74 - A quarter each?
'75's - $.50 each?
'76 and up - A dime/each?

Are commons get that much? More? Less???

Any ideas?

ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!

Imho a buck a card for pre 1974 cards in ex+ is a good price- sometimes you get lucky. At the last show I went to I found a 1969 Santo in sweet condition for a buck but had to dig thru mass boxes. Mike

Wow, if I can get NRMT 1976/1977 Topps commons (or non-HOFers) for a dime each, I'm sold! image That'll make my upgrading work a HECK of a lot easier.

Indeed, I'd think it'd be much harder to find football ones than baseball since not as many kids collected football and even fewer still took good enough care of them to survive in those conditions.

If you are talking about baseball sets you could probably find some low number 1972 commons for about a quarter each. I am working towards my set and the high numbers (and even semi high numbers) can get pricey even for commons.

So I guess it's a good thing I'm only going for a run of 1974-present Topps sets. I don't think I can afford any sets earlier than that. Even mid-grade 1970-72 set are about $1000 each.
