For some reason, I like the 1981 Topps Coke set, yet I'm a big Pepsi fan; does that make me a hypocr

Now, for some reason, I have always been fascinated by the 1981 Topps Coke set (132 cards; actually 11 team sets of 12 cards each) because 1981 Topps is one of my favorite 1980s designs and it seems like it'd be a good companion set to go with my regular and traded 1981 Topps sets. The thing is though, I'm actually an avid Pepsi fan (actually Diet Pepsi; gotta watch my figure ), so wouldn't this make me a hypocrite? Maybe even blasphamy?

Well, if they made any good Pepsi baseball card sets, I'd be happy to get those too. Or maybe even RC ones? The 1977/1978 RC cans are out of the question though (no way to display them right).

If it's Pepsi cards you're after, then I would recommend breaking the bank and buying a set of the 1991 Pepsi Rickey Henderson discs.

The 1980 Pepsi cards are also quite beautiful. Also about 1,000 more expensive than the 1981 Coke cards...

I like Pepsi also. Tastes much better than Coke. Why do restaurant chains have to have exclusive contracts with one or the other? I hate that. Order a meal, with a Pepsi. Uh, is Coke okay? No it isn't, make it a Dr. Pepper.

Don't you know that exclusive contracts are beneficial for everyone involved? The restaurant gets paid more and the soda company has no worries about any pesky competition. Well beneficial for everyone involved except the consumer. I mean, you don't see grocery stores selling only Coke or only Pepsi.

I absolutely hate McDonalds because every time I eat there I feel sick as crap afterwards. However, I'm building the 1990 McDonalds/Score set. Hypocrite? Sure, but Micky D's aint getting any of the cash going towards the cards, so it's all good.

I think I remember seeing that while looking at football cards on Ebay (never mind the fact I only want to do a Topps set run), those are pretty hard to put together, aren't they?

I think some consumer groups backed by Coca Cola tried to sue restaurants that only served Pepsi. If someone asked for a coke they would serve a Pepsi w/o telling them. Irony is they were doing the same thing. The Real Thing is a great book about Coca Cola.
