High School hunt

I got to hunt the front of this High School where the kids walked from their cars to the front door. There is a sidewalk leading to the door but it must not be cool to use it. They sure do use the grass. But that was an OK thing for me. My totals for 4 hrs and 45 mins were 59 quarters, 27 dimes, 18 nickels, 122 pennies 2 keys and one sterling silver ring. I've always wanted to do this so I sorted the quarters by date. 65, 66-2,67, 78, 79-2,82,84,85,86-2, 89-2, 90-2, 91-3,92-4,93-4,94-3,95-5,97-3,98, PA, DEL, NC,NY,OH,ARK, FLA,WV-2 and OR . I thought that I might have a few more State quarters. The 4 quarters from the 60's were the ones that were the deepest in the qroung. I had not hunted this area but plan to go back on another weeked and check it in the opposite diagonal direction.

In a few weeks I intend to hit the high school volleyball court, an outdoor sand pit. I envision lots of rings and other stuff flying over the net and dropped into the sand. If I find any class rings I will bring them to the office and see if they can find the rightful owners, anything else I will take home and see if anyone there lost it.image

I have never had much luck at the sand pit volleyball courts. Maybe some change. I really thought that I could find some rings there too. If I find any Senior Rings I like to personally give them back.
  • I have one near me that the tourists use all day, everyday. Ive thought about cleaning it out...
  • Nice haul Bob!
