eSnipe question

I'm newly registerred at eSnipe and I just confirmed my first "snipe." I really want the coin I am bidding on. I'm a little concerned that for some reason my eSnipe bid will not go through. If I put in a bid the normal way on eBay using the same ID that is registerred on eSnipe, will my eSnipe bid try to compete with my regular bid? I'd like to put in a normal bid on eBay just to be sure.

  • It will show in your active snipes. If it shows that auction you are locked and loaded. I have used them alot with no problems other than the snipe going off too soon but have never not went off... Good luck

  • I've used e-snipe for about 5 years, have not missed one bid yet...

To answer your question, I think..."-)

Yes it will but eBay will view it as a proxy bid, you can not out bid yourself...

The worst that will happen is that if your proxy bid gets you to within less than one increment over the 2nd-in-line bidder, your snipe will round you fully to the next increment.

esnipe has worked for me. But I guess I don't understand why you would employ a sniping service if you are going to go ahead and bid manually anyway "just in case". It defeats the purpose.

Esnipe has worked well for me as well. Over the years I can only remember one time where my snipe bid was not executed and it was due to a problem with the Ebay servers that would likely have prevented me from placing a manual bid anyway.

I don't have the time to watch Ebay all the time, so I place my snipes and forget about them.
