ill be going, i have like 6 buddies with booths, might jump in with one of them, not sure yet though have midterms the following week might need to study. Have a 100 card submission for psa and a 100 card submission for bgs, main reasons im going.
<< <i>it was supposed to be done completely, but looks like they've brought it back at least for this weekend and the last weekend in August. >>
yea the show is pretty awful IMO, i set up last year and it was really bad... They need more dealers and more participation. Also need more traffic, it was pretty busy when reggie bush came but those ppl were there for reggie and reggie only.
the last show was horrible- they moved the date so a lot of people didn't even know it was on, and it was just a few weeks after the National in the same area. Big mistake.

it stopped raining here about 30 minutes ago, and I'm about 15-20 minutes north of the show. I don't think it will effect dealer attendance (which usually sucks on Friday anyway) but should make the show a bit quieter today.

no really, IMO. The last time I went on a Friday was about a year ago, and there were only about half the tables that would be set up on Saturday. I'll probably swing by tonite to drop off a submission and pick up some supplies, but doubt there will be much to look at. It's not like Ft.Washington where everything happens on Friday nite.

Went to the show today, was there most of the afternoon. Most of the dealers were set up today, but the foot traffic was definitely light. Lots of ungraded, some graded from both small and big dealers (Andy Madec, etc), and most prices above SMR. When I asked about this, the general response was that the prices would fall tomorrow and Sunday. Was able to successfully negotiate a few cards down to eBay-like prices.
$5 graded card guy was there, I picked up a 1984 Fleer Strawberry and a 1989 Smoltz in 9, nice cards, $5, can't complain. Lots of memorabilia as well, but most seemed priced significantly above market. Also, several dealers were there with 50s and 60s commons.
I got there about 630pm, spent 45 minutes or so with a bunch of submissions at PSA, and when I was done everyone was packing up. Had dinner with a few friends that were set up and they said it was light, but they had done some decent business. Back tomorrow for some buying, hopefully.
