Champs Grading Service, ever hear of it?

Just wondered if any of you guys have had any experience with Champs Grading Service? There is a card I was thinking about buying that is graded by them, and of course I would be sending it in for a cross over, I'm not to worried about a grade drop, I just don't want it to come back as trimmed or altered. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Avoid like the plague. They could be the best grader in the business, but nobody will have heard of it and -- subsequently -- no one will trust them.

They used to set up at shows and grade onsite in Albany, NY and much other of the northeast US. They tried very hard to be legitimate and graded fine ....BUT....I wouldn't have faith in the graders to be knowledgable enough to detect professionally altered cards.
