OT- Nor'easter

I live in NY and just came from the store to get food before the storm hits. No choice but to stay home tomorrow, most of the time devoted to eBay.

Just something to chat about.

this weather is killing me...every time it rains in Boston, it pushes Dice-K off a day that I have a ticket for!! The rainout Thursday pushed him off of his Patriots Day start....and if Monday's game gets cancelled (likely), he'll get pushed off the Sunday game against the Yankees!...
  • RipublicaninMassRipublicaninMass Posts: 10,051 ✭✭✭
Jdip NO WAY is Dice-man not gonna pitch against the YAnks on Sunday. It is the ESPN sunday night game, for RATINGS ALONE he WILL be pitching!!! They are gonna switch the order around and he'll face the Yankess twice in two weeks.

We were forecasted to get 1+ foot here in Colorado but we ended up with only the obligatory 2-5 inches as the storm veered south. Seems like this time of year when storms hit the Plains, it spreads out with the moisture coming up from the Gulf and turns into a massive line (unlike here in the West where it's more focused). Be safe.

Yep - raining like crazy here also. It's actually supposed to get worse as the day goes on.

And, they cancelled half of the baseball games today because of it - what am I supposed to watch this afternoon, hockey? image

Yes, you are supposed to watch hockey, if only because the NHL playoffs are the most exciting sporting event in North American pro sports, barring perhaps the occasional World Series.

How can anyone dismiss the NHL playoffs as boring and still get up for the overblown yawner that is the Super Bowl? The Bruins aren't in it, so I can see how the people of Massachusettes may have trouble getting into this year's playoffs, but even without the home team involved the NHL playoffs will make for far, far more exciting television than whatever kind of late season Bluntfest is taking place on the NBA's home courts this weekend, or an irrelevant April baseball game.

its been raining here in south jersey for over 12 hours but no high winds luckily. i am just outside the philly area, but in nj. flood watches here due to being really close to the delaware river. this is not a good time to have multilple buildings. basements are going to get water. alot to worry about today. i dont have a garage so only the 3 antique cars get shelter today in my warehouse. naturally that roof leaks. the 3 other vehicles are going to be subject to this storm. its going to be an ugly day. on the bright side, my cat is loving it. she has a thing for the rain.
