Priority Post?

I sold a jacket on Ebay to someone that lives in Canada (even though my item states to USA only)..... anyway, they won, it's only $45, so I figured I would do it anyway. They want to pay by 'Priority Post'? Not sure what that is. I'm sure someone here has shipped/received from Canada. Do I just mail at my local USPS?

Thanks

  • I shipped items via USPS to Canada. It costs a bit more, but at least you can track it. The only thing I had to put on the form extra, was that the item I was sending was a "gift". If not, then the recipient would have to pay some type of extra tax when he received the item.
It went from so. Cal to Toronto in a few days (less than a week).

Sellers should NEVER falsify customs forms.

It is NOT a crime - that can be prosecuted against a seller -
to write "gift" on the form. BUT, the buyer can be forced to
pay hefty penalties when/if the customs-inspectors discover
    the fraud.

Express Mail is the best and most PayPal-compliant method
    to Canada.

Just mail it at the USPS they can help you out as far as time and such. Do not enclose an invoice in the package. If the item is under four lbs you fill out the green customs form and mark as gift. I send to Canada all the time and have never had a problem. In fact the only time I ever had a problem with Canada customs was trying to cross the border with a bunch of cards for a show (detailed in another thread).

Assuming your jacket weighs over 2 lbs but less than 3 lbs here are the rates. Don't send Economy (Surface) as it could take a week or 6 weeks, you never know.

    Global Priority Mail - Variable Weight (Single) 4 - 6 Days $12.75

    Airmail Letter Post 4 - 7 Days $7.40

    Economy (Surface) Letter Post 4 - 6 Weeks $6.30

I didn't falsify anything on the form. It was a gift for him winning one of my auctions.
