OT: which scanner to buy? does it even matter for posting scans here or on Ebay?

I have a $200 GC to Best Buy, so I'm limited to Epson/Canon/HP. Primarily will be scanning baseball cards to post on Ebay. and probably to solicit grading opinions here.

Is there any noticeable difference in scan quality between the scanners for that sell for $80 and those that sell for $150-$175?

Any feedback from those that own one of the scanners I've described above would be much appreciated, especially the less expensive models.

My scanner/printer/copier was about $70 and I think the pics come out fine. It is an HP that I bought about 2 years ago.

Buy the cheapest one that works.

    When it breaks, buy another.

EBAY does not require world-class scans; just
    adequate scans.

I have an epson perfection 4490, I like it a lot and use it to check corners before submitting. It can scan at up to 4800 dpi, and it's easy to use.

Some have said you should get a scanner with "charged coupling" or something like that. That permits better scans at the "depth" necessary to focus on a card inside a PSA scan. I followed that advice and am happy with the results.
