I remember that two page ad; why not scan the whole thing for us?
Anyway, according to the Beckett Almanac, 1989 Upper Deck was meant to be limited to "only" one million of each card, but due to (surprise) the huge demand, they ended up making up to double that. Now, two million may seem like a lot, but keep in mind two things. One, compared to everything else at that time other than the Topps Tiffany & Fleer Glossy sets, two million was a very limited edition. And second, even two million was only enough for one percent of everyone in the United States at that time.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
