Sends different card then scanned, of course it has a problem, buyer leaves Neg, this <cringe> weasel retallys.

I guess this is the type of card seller Stevek refers too.

    Yup.

    But, unless the complaining buyer got a PSA MINT 9 (PD),
    the seller would be on solid ground with PayPal.

    I wonder if the seller ever sends out GEM-Elite cards
    in place of the "sample" pictures he uses in his listings.

    Sort of implying that "major" grading companies are the same. I'd like to see his list of what he considers the "major" grading companies? I imagine that it most likely includes a number of names other than PSA and SGC.


    You are bidding on a 1983 Wade Boggs Fleer #179 Rookie RC PSA 9 Mint! Inducted into the HOF in 2005! Please see photo for a sample.

    5 AL batting titles (1983,85-88) with Boston Red Sox;

    Graded cards come in as is condition. I sell many different graded cards from all the major grading companies. You will receive a graded card that is listed in the title with the same grading although it may not be the exact card pictured. I am not a grader and have no ability to authenticate the grade of the card other than it being in the case provided by the grading company. If you have any issue with the quality of the graded card you must contact the grading company.

    This is the time where I would love to have an account set-up just to mess with these guys. Although it would only last a few weeks until they caught on. Anyway I would bid on all of this sort of stuff and never pay.

    I did email him about a card and here is the conversation:

    Before I bid I want to be sure that I have your rules down straight. If I win I will get this card in graded condition, but not necessarily a PSA graded card? It could be a grade 9 from some other grading company.

    His response:

    Hello, It will be a card graded PSA 9. I would never send a card from another grading company. BCCG 9 for example in no way compares to PSA 9. So you will receive PSA 9, it just may not be the one in the photo.

    So maybe not a weasel, maybe just a ferret or prarie dog.
