PSA says bad '68 pack--time to rip it!!!

sent in 21 packs that were raw to get graded. got the first sub that had 7 packs from the '70's-- Most were cellos and got tremendous grades. The second batch were mostly wax, with a few cellos.

One of the packs was a '68 BB wax pack that I got off eBay a few years ago. I had my doubts about its authenticity. Well, it was the only pack that came back bad--altered.

So, what can I do with it except RIP IT!!!

Posting a pic of the front and back of the pack--and will post pics of what I get. Maybe they were wrong!!

Looking at the back of the pack, the two left corner folds are sticking out, a strong indication that they have been peeled back

WoW, what an awesome pack to own! I was ecstatic just to find a '68T wrapper I had stuck in a Golden Book, The Swiss Family Robinson, and found about 10 years ago in my parents' basement:

Could be if it's resealed - Phillies certainly had a lot of "commons" players in 1967 - LOL

not the raptors-pistons..........just teenagers on a FRiday nite! Damn kids!!

Well, not sure if the pack was re-sealed. No stars--but the wax was on the correct card..the rookie one. May have just been the luck(or bad luck) of the draw. After all was said and done, it looked like it was a good pack--just not a lucky one! But it was FUN!

    Memories...

Those definitely look like Series 1 cards with the more-white-than-brown borders. I believe the Carew card came in both versions...

Thanks for taking the time to share pics!!!

Thanks for sharing this information with us, and thanks for the rip, cool pics! I have 200 or so ungraded wax packs from the 70s and a few from the 60s (i.e., some football, baseball, basketball & non-sport).

And I really do appreciate all the imput about PSA's pack grading activities, posted here!

actually the corners are pretty sharp. Took out a 10X lupe and they look quite good. They do not look good in the pics, but all are relatively sharp. Had the centering been better, I would consider slabbing them.
