So is this any better/worse than the Gil Meche deal? He got the same money, is a bit older, and has about the same mediocre stats.

At the rate pitchers are getting today, I would say at 11 million that is a good signing. He would have been a top 3 pitcher on the free agent market.

Now the problem with this signing tells me the Indians are all but out of the running to resign CC Sabathia.
