Coin value?

I am new to world coins, and haven't bought a Krause publication yet.

What is the value of a British trade dollar in au and in unc?

The piece I'm looking at specifically is a 1902 B.

Krause generally only gives XF and UNC values, leaving you to figure out AU prices on your own.

The Numismaster online guide currently says the 1902-B trade dollar lists for $25 XF and $60 UNC. Split the difference, and you've got... uhhh... $42.50.

The KM number for the type is KM#T5, and these were struck in .900 fine silver with a bullion weight of .7800 ounces (a tiny bit more silver than a US silver dollar).

The "B" mintmark (which if I remember correctly is up in the tines of the trident) indicates Bombay, India.

Lovely coins, and popular. One of the finest depictions of Britannia out there.

Well then I guess I won't be paying the $69 BIN price the seller is asking... thanks for saving me some dough!
