Is anyone getting grades back?

I used to see a few posts every day about grades popping and the last couple of months it's been a pretty slow trickle. I love seeing everyone's grades, especially when they get something I need.

If you've gotten grades lately, POST THEM! I like living vicariously through everyone else until my grades come in each time.

With me it seemed like they used to charge me when the grades were ready, but now it seems like they charge you when your order is received.

They logged my cards on 4/5 and charged my card on 4/6. Maybe I'll get lucky and see cards before the end of the month. That would be sweet!

I think the long delays in logging in submissions is borderline decepetive advertising. When an X day turnaround time is advertised, but in reality the order can be held hostage indefinitely, that's wrong. I think PSA should just eliminate the guaranteed turnaround time and face the fallout of customers going to the competition. I also worry about the vulnerability of all these orders stacked up. What happens if they disappear while sitting around undocumented for weeks? Will they have any record of those orders if they disappear? Fortunately I used delivery confirmation so I can at least prove some sort of package was received by them. But it's been a couple of weeks since I shipped my order and it too has not been logged in. It's totally ridiculous and unacceptable.

My worry is, with pressure to increase turn around time, will the cards recieve the attention they deserve? Will the time a grader takes to examine a card shorten, and what will this do to quality control?
I guess Joe is kicking himself for the March special.

The turnaround time should really be applied to when the package arrives at PSA, which is also when it should be put into the system. In my past of working in restaurants, a well run place will stop seating people when the servers are too busy to take on additional tables without maintaining a quality of service.

I believe this is what PSA might be doing because the graders are swamped, and the turnaround time is meaningless if this is the case. It would be like a restaurant saying "We guarantee you'll have your dinner within 10 minutes of ordering", then having them wait an hour for a table.

Of course this is all speculation.

I like the restaurant analogy in this case. After all, we're all hungry for our grades.

It makes me wish that PSA would post a grading status on the web site . . . something like they do in delis or at the DMV when you see that little digital counter that says "Now Serving #129." Of course, they can't really do this because it's obvious that for whatever reason they can't grade cards in the order they are received even within like service levels. But that's not going to stop me from wishing.

Bad news: I haven't seen that my tickets were graded. I sent on Feb 27, it was received March 5 or 6 and logged in on March 12.

Good news: It seems like I have a lot of company waiting for submissions, so at least I don't feel like they've just forgotten or lost mine.

Also, I make sure I send registered rather than delivery confirmation.

If they don't meet their guaranteed turnaround time don't you get a free grading voucher for each day they are over? Sounds like some of you guys might get some free grading.

Ha. Originally it was graded free if I remember correctly, or you got vouchers for the entire submission. Now it's one voucher for each day they are late. Well, at the $5 special level, what's the big deal? A $5/day late fee? Doesn't blockbuster get more than that? What's the incentive to be on time? Now I realize they usually are on time on but really...what's the penalty if they aren't? I still don't understand the business model that is PSA's "Receivables" department, but hey, as long as my stuff is graded in the time frame, I have no room to complain right?
