1814/3 AU details Rare early die state w/o die crack at base of date, chisel mark likely denoting ownership at K12, 180* edge taper where coin rose up in Castaing machine- $300
1814 O.107 AU details, cleaned, two chisel marks denoting ownership- another opportunity to own a piece of this unusual buried treasure. This hoard was found in upstate NY by some detectorists; the coins were buried in groups, usually near large trees either in wood boxes or cloth sacks long ago rotted away. No idea who left this money behind, or why they never came back to reclaim it. These usually sell on the bourse in NCS slabs for considerably more money. $225
