Accept MO on Ebay?

I've never accepted Money Orders on Ebay prior, always use Paypal, but I've got a buyer who wants to use MO. Two items, $230.

Anything I need to be carefull of accepting these? Are they like checks in that they can be bad even after deposited? Any help?

Thanks, Mike

Postal money orders are fine. Checks or personal money orders I had problems with.

That is fine if I was the seller but whatever you want to do. Money orders from CVS/Wal-Mart are fine too. Even if a check clears you never know, so i advise to stay away from that.

Man, I LOVE when buyers want to mail payment, especially if they have good FB. Paypal has enough money as far as I'm concerned, and truth be told, even worse things can happen with Paypal payments anyway as far as being screwed is concerned.

If your flexible and allow payments like paypal, money order, and cashier's check people will buy from you and more will have interest.

Only think I do not do is returns but I may consider changing.

I heard it was the other way around. I have never had any problems with accepting money orders and am surprised at the couple posts here against it. Since getting screwed by Paypal, I refuse to use them and will only send money orders when buying and accept meoney orders and checks wen selling- checks need to clear.

I agree, I accept Paypal, MO, or checks. I always wait for checks to clear. I have never had a problem. About 5% of my buyers choose MO or checks, so I think it is important to offer these options. I do returns on a case by case basis.
