Well, it says game worn uniform, so technically it could be a patch from anything Pujols was wearing, even armbands, socks, whatever. The whole patch thing is stupid anyway. Would you rather have 20 cards with a tiny patch of cloth, or the actual full jersey the guy wore during a game?
Yes, it's fake. Topps rarely uses anything but plain fabric on "uniform" cards, and even on patch cards they seem hard pressed to use anything but vanilla, monotone pieces.

<< <i>It looks to me like the d-i-n from the Cardinals on the front of the jersey. >>
That would make sense if the player's were the size of a mouse. But you have to remember though that the logo is just a tiny bit longer than 2 inches like the one on the card
It actually could be a "mock turtle neck" logo ~ I have a couple Tribe ones like this and the script logo on them measures about that size...
Like this:
do the Cards wear white mock-necks under colored unis sometimes?
It could also come from a wind-breaker like this:
I only question it because if it was fake why would someone make such a dramatically small logo card? People (like us) would instantly think "thats too small ~ it must be fake" and it would defeat making it in the first place... If you make a fake you have to use the right size to get your value IMO.

It couldn't be any of those. The patch in the auction has a white background. Anyways, I questioned the seller about it and he replied at first, saying that it was 100% real and I asked him why it was never worn by the Cardinals then and he never replied. One person already retracted their bid

There's still nothing though that Pujols wears that has that kind of logo on it.

That's the exact reason why I switched from collecting game used cards to game used memorabilia.
