Help with a bag of world coins

I did an emergency Electrical job for an older gent that I have been doing work for,For years
When I was done and packing up He hands me a Bag of World coins And say's
They are yours I don't have anyone to leave these to and I know you like coins
So now I have a bag of world coins Dates are all over the place He said alot came from WW II when he was all over the place
What is a good book to help me find out what I have
There seems to be alot of silver some of the place's are Panama,France ,England,Hong Kong, and I bunch that I can't tell where they are from
Many of the dates are from Late 1800's and early 1900's
So any help would be Great

I'd first check the local library to see if they have a copy of the Standard catalog or can get one by interlibrary loan. If that doesn't pan out then I would search the net for a copy a few years old. It would be much cheaper and will be good enough to give you a good idea of what you have.
