"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." -Luke 11:9
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." -Deut. 6:4-5
"For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us." -Isaiah 33:22
Thanks it's real easy too. I just take the image of the coin into PSPX and create a layer and then put my text on it and reduce the opacity down on the text layer until there is just enough text showing. Then I merge the image and save. It's a poor man's watermarking plugin
You did VERY nice on that Columbian piece. I think it was a bit undergraded though, based on the pics. I think it's at least a Fine, and possibly higher for the type, depending on how crudely they were struck... the plate coin for Krause is actually in worse condition than your example. Nevertheless, based on Krause prices of $35 in VG, $70 in F, and $150 in VF, I think you got a very nice return on it.
Sorry, but I don't. I find such watermarks annoying. But if you have a problem with folks stealing your pictures, I guess you have to prevent it somehow. I just don't like watermarks across the coins. (And yeah, I know you have to put the watermark across the coin so folks won't crop it out, but it seems like there could be a better solution).

I don't care for it either me Lord but I did have a problem a year or so ago where someone was lifting my images and using them for coins he didn't have. Since I host them outside of ebay now I guess I could always change the if they get ripped.

Ebay sucks a lot of the time, I agree.
