    As I stated earlier in another thread -


    I think you meant best leadoff hitter. Before we start crowning him as the best all around player, he's going to have to first hit .332, average 42 homeruns, average 126 RBI's, have an OPS of 1.045, win a Gold Glove, an MVP, and a World Series in his first 6 years. And that's just for starters.

    Best leadoff hitter - without a doubt. I would love to have him on my team

    Best all around player - I've got to see more than that before I say that.

    I was hoping last year he would get at least 20 doubles, triples, and homers. Only six or seven players have done it, the last being George Brett in 1979. I see Reyes had 2 triples tonight so maybe he'll do it this year.

    Research by the Elias Sports Bureau notes that Reyes is the first player in baseball history to have more than 63 steals, 120 runs, 192 hits and 19 homers in a single season

    I would love to watch Reyes play but I cant stand listening to Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling!
