Home Trading Cards & Memorabilia Forum

Guys, I just found the very best deal on plastic pages ($92 for a case of 1000); check it out

Buy a case of BCW pages (1000) for only $92!!

I saved about $36 versus buying individual boxes (for $12.72 each) at a local store. Don't let the No Paypal scare you off, cuz you just call the 1-800 number and Matt (the owner) will only charge you for exact shipping (which is surprisingly about $10 or so lower than what's quoted on the Ebay ad), and you get your choice of ten 100 count boxes or four 250 count boxes (you get the same product either way). He said the ten 100 count boxes were the most popular, but I chose the four 250s cuz I thought they needed a little love. image

Hopefully this will finally get me caught up on all those sets I have lying around waiting to be put in albums (I still need to get a case of Ultra-Pro binders at some point) which include:

1976 Topps w/ Traded
1977 Topps
All Donruss Highlights, Rookies, and Traded sets (1985-92)
Fleer Update 1991-94 (but 1985-90 I can probably fit in with the regular sets, since those make 792 cards just like the Topps sets)
Topps Traded 1981-85 (missing 1982)
Topps Traded 1986-90
Topps Traded 1991-95 (missing 1992-95)
1993 Fleer (still need this)
1994 Fleer
1995 Fleer
1991-95 Studio (don't know how I'm gonna split this up binder wise)

Whew, looks like even a case of binders won't be enough! I just hope the case of sheets will be enough (I still got a few left over though, maybe 20 or so).

Anyhoo, you guys want the best deal on buying pages by the case, here you go. Matt here has 100% feedback (almost 5500 overall score) and seems to specialize in sports memorbila supplies (cards and otherwise). I'll let you guys know when I get the case this Tuesday. image

I'll have to keep this in mind. The only reason I stopped putting my sets into albums was because I have zero room for all the albums at this point in time. I still have a good 25-20 sets that I need to put into pages.
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

  • I dont want to hijack your thread but does anyone know of a supplier that has pages that will hold toploaders? I found a small website that had these but had no online ordering and the phone number provided was disconnected.

Just curious but how do you guys arrange the sets? I do mine by the number of the card.

I do mine in numerical order as well, with only nine cards per page so I can see both sides w/o taking any of the cards out.

  • Mike, you talking about pages that look like this or have you seen full size pages as well?

Not my listing, I dont have any of these pages myself ~ was just watching this set ~ but might be what you had in mind.

I myself would love to find pages like this in person as well, I would rather have my 60s sets in card holders than completely raw in the pages.

BTW, nice find on the pages Estil but I have to ask; you dont mind the off brand? I try to stick to all UltraPro myself and just curious if you know anything about this companies pages...

I only use either Ultra-Pro or BCW; both are same quality, if anything BCW might actually be better (since they do promise complete card coverage).

But I do only use Ultra-Pro binders; I just don't care for the BCW binders.

Incidentally, that six pocket top loader pages and binder look quite interesting; perhaps I should store my blue chip cards that way (I currently have them in mini-tites and in a standard box)?

Those are the pages I was talking about. Where did you get them?

I want to put all of my team sets in pages like that.

  • Woops, I read too fast and got excited.

Those are the pages I am looking for. I have only found one source and they went out of business.

I cant believe they are not more popular than they are. I have serious trust issues with my cards conditions and standard 9 pocket pages.

Oh, well my cards can continue to live in top loaders in a box for the time being.

    Thanks

  • Mike,

Yeah sorry buddy, cant help you get any as that is the only time I have seen them... I do imagine that the lack of interest probably comes in three facts ~ A) they are so much smaller than normal sheets B) they only hold 4 cards each and C) think of how think it would get with all those toploaders in sheets ~ you would need multiple books just to display one set (which you can tell by this person needing two books to hold 250 cards)...

As you know I too have a similar collection and I debated for a long time how to protect them. In the end though I decided I'm never going to sell any of it anyway (this is my collection!) and a good chunk of the cards in my Tribe books I couldnt sell for a nickel so the cost of protecting all of them that much would be much too high. Eventually I just put everything in the books minus the Pre '48 cards and the Auto/Jerseys. Now on the smaller cards I cut some of the old flimsy top loaders to the size of a normal card to give them thickness to protect and to keep them from sliding around, everything else has pretty much made it in the book. I flip through now and see /10, RCs, vintage HOF cards etc and think "wow there is a lot of money in these books!" but havent noticed any of them showing any problems because of their pages home. Otherwise I have one long-box which houses all my Autos, Jerseys & 1/1s in their screw down cases and I randomly choose different ones out of it to display on the bookshelf for a week or so to keep me smiling...

Anyway, good luck if you are to hold out on these but with the problems I mentioned above I wouldnt be surprised if they are no longer produced.

Hey thanks for that link ~ I might have to pick up a binder for my Autos/Relics now...

Otherwise I figure I have 5500ish Indians in 9cards and I think it might get a bit expensive to get them all in those image

  • I was thinking of doing the Topps base runs from 52 to present in these binders and leaving out the numerous other brands and series. I have been working on my website to display my team sets and or want/trade lists. I am eating up a lot of server space with images and spending a lot of time scanning. I dont know which is the best fit for me though. I definately like to look at my cards and would really like to share my collection in some way.

Thanks Bri for the link. I was hoping someone was still selling these pages.

  • Mike,

hehehe ~ I love the idea of a website/checklist so I will have an easier time finding things you need! image

As far as the Topps in these pages... You do realize that the mid 80s-90s sets usually had 36+ cards of each team right? Thats 6 full pages of 87 Topps cards! image

Good luck figuring it out and do share images when you are all up and running with it!

    PS, package there yet? image

Yes, it arrived today; the case (a day earlier than his estimate; perhaps this guy could be the Steve/BBCE of supplies?) is just as heavy as I remembered buying in college. image I haven't opened any of the boxes of pages (there's four 250 count boxes, remember?) but so far everything looks good. It's exactly like buying the pages directly wholesale from BCW themselves.

Well, I got my 1985-90 Fleer Update sets put away with some of the new pages (with the regular sets that were already in the binders); now I just need a case of Ultra-Pro binders and I can do the rest. If you need supplies, Matt is DA MAN.
