Hey St. Louis guys

I will be in town on Monday for a job interview (no I'm not crossing over to the dark side, the main office is in St. Louis). Anyways, I should be done by lunch but my flight back to KC doesn't leave until 6:30. So what can a guy with 4-5 hours to kill do by himself?

Whatever you do, stay away from the East Side. That is unless you have a bunch of $1 bills to blow.

I am going to be in St. Louis on Wednesday for an interview but I don't think I'll have time for lunch.

If I get this job I'll be there 2 weeks a month for the next year and should then have some time for lunch.

AB brewery tour (free). 2 free ones when you are done (You can also wait until the next tour comes in and get more).

The zoo is free and the Arch is cheap.

It looks like it is around 44 and Hampton Ave

If you are near 44 and Hampton, you are near all that has been listed as well as being next to "The Hill". Great Italian food at several small restaurants in that area. What exactly are you looking to do?

I don't know really. I'm just gonna have some time to kill, didn't know what was there other than the brewery or arch. I'm familiar with "The Hill". One of my buddies has family that owns one of the restaurants. Something with Viviano's in the name.

44 and Hampton is not far from the hill, forest park (zoo-art museum) and 44 will take you to downtown to the arch. all within 10-15 minutes. the thing with the hill is that a lot of the restaraunts are closed on mondays.

you can go to www.stltoday.com for some ideas.

I can't believe no one's mentioned the St. Louis Baseball Hall of Fame. It's fantastic, and the city has a *ton* of baseball history. For many years, the Cardinals and Browns both played in Sportsman's Park, so there was a game nearly every day.

    Here's a link.

I think the National Bowling Hall of Fame is on the same site...and that you get a free game (or at least a few frames) in their alley.

You really should check it out.

  • Don't bother with the arch, its a lot of money for 15 mins of your time. Why not drive back to KC????

Zef, if you're in St Louis for that job, let me know. Plenty of cold Old Style in my fridge for fellow Cub fans.

    Good luck with your interviews!
