Is there any way to track a money order?

Anybody know if you can track a postal money order to see if it has been cashed? At the post office you tear off the top part of the money order and keep it as a receipt, is there a bar code or anything that can be used for tracking?

    I believe you have to actually go to the PO and request that info and I think it takes a week or two.

    I think that you need the "Customer Receipt" that tears off from the top of the money order. With that I'm pretty sure they can check whether or not it was cashed

    it takes forever....and if I'm not mistaken cost something crazy like $4.95 or $7.95 to track.

    If it hasn't been cashed..you have to wait like 30 days before they will issue you a refund.

    not 100% on this..but close!!

    I remember one time buying something on eBay and had to track the money order. It cost me some $$ but I forget exactly how much.
