Start her off with some of the Disney movie cards - Cinderella and the like can be found for just a couple dollars a box from some show dealers. Getting her albums, 9 pockets sheets, and maybe a couple of screwdown or snaptight holders will also help. Then you sit with her and help her organize the cards to make sets

Now once she looks favorably on collecting, start branching out into other types of cards. Animals make a good first step.

Soon, she will want to collect cards that look like dad's.

To seal the deal, take her to ballgames. Field level seats at a minor league game work very well. A little girl asking a player for a ball or if he can sign her glove has a very good chance of getting her request fulfilled.

Also, watch women's sports with her along with men's sports. Tennis is the easiest to find, but pretty much any will do. If you can take her to college games, do so.

By the time you're done, she will like sports and sports collecting.

And if your wife doesn't approve, don't tell her how to find me. image

thanks for the wishes all. We have decided on a name today, Sydney. Just no middle name yet. Trying to decide between Lee and Elizabeth. The latter comes with a gift from a relative for carrying on her name (it's an antique not a collection of T206's unfortunately). We have the pack & play, car seat, swing, high chair, crib, changing table, rocker and nursery all put together so I think we are ready. And now we wait image

In terms of Women's Sports, the LPGA is growing in popularity now and if you get her hooked on golf at a young age you'll be able to head out golfing on the weekends and tell the wife "I'm taking our daughter out for a round of golf." image
I collect the elements on the periodic table, and some coins. I have a complete Roosevelt set, and am putting together a set of coins from 1880.

Golf is a great suggestion. My wife is a runner and has run a marathon. I am running the Indianapolis 500 Mini Marathon in her place the first weekend of May. She has run it 7 times and will miss it due to the pregnancy. I hope I can finish it, 13.1 miles is a lonnnnnnnnnnnng way. I have been getting into womens NCAA basketball too. My wife went to Purdue and they always have a good team. You can get tickets to Final Four games w/o too much trouble and Indy always is a host to some round.

Have her on Easter, she can be your easter child. Anything can happen
by the 10th day, she could turn it's just better to have her out a week
    early.

    Congrats!!!
