Heritage Auctions

So I received my items from Heritage Auction from the Feb. auction. The items I purchased were a Ted Williams 8x10 auto, HOF inductees of 1983 8x10 autographed by Hank Aaron, F. Robinson, and Happy Chandler, Joe DiMaggio autographed index card, and two autographed Ralph Kiner contracts. All these items were listed to come with LOA from PSA/DNA. The problem lies with those LOA. All four letters were issued for the Sept. 26, 2006 auction and I purchased them from the Feb. 26, 2007 auction. PSA/DNA only allows 45 days from the end of the auction date on the LOA to receive a COA at a discounted rate. This auction just ended up costing me an additional $200 +/- a few bucks. Has anyone else run into this problem with Heritage auctions?

  • No, but I have heard that often times when someone wins a lot, Heritage will send them an email offering to re-consign the item that they've just won for the next auction. This may be the case. It also seems like lots tend to get recycled in Heritage and Premiere Auctions, maybe it's just me though.

holy crap brumbach, AWESOME '53 Bowman color Mantle/Bauer/Berra autograph!! Where in the heck did you find a Bancroft and Pennock signed photos? I'm doing a hall of fame autograph set too and I must say your page was one of the coolest things I've seen in quite a long time. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the '53 Bowman color set you back and WHERE did you find it? GREAT stuff!
