The most confusing e-mail......

I just recieved a response from an eBay seller about a bat I was interested in. I asked him 3 questions: Does it have his number on the knob. Is the bat cracked. And does it have a tape-job on the handle. The guy responds by saying this:
"Bate is browm does not have tape has his # down not be and this in good conditions
thanks for your communication."

Could somebody possibly translate this for me??

<< <i>CAn't translate that. But why would a bat be taped up? You mean like a hockey stick? >>
It was a Preston Wilson game used bat. He always has a huge amount of tape rolled around the knob of his bats so I was making sure that it was on it
on the knob, and is in good condition. (But don't trust me)
