Could anyone tell me...
What this is and what (if anything) is it's value? It appears to be copper or bronze and is roughly about 23mm in diameter. Thanks!

A bronze follis, maybe?
I'll let those in the know about such material chime in. I'm helplessly unreferenced on Byzantine stuff.
Just know enough to tell you that the Christ portrait on the obverse of that pegs it as a Byzantine coin.
1,000 to 1,500 years old, or in that ballpark.
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
Then I looked closely at the coin and at Blackhawks icon and there is more than a little resemblance, wouldn't you say? How long have you been around, Blackhawk?
is that you end up being governed by inferiors. – Plato
Circa the reign of Nicephorus III 1078-1081 A.D.
Probably overstruck on a follis of Michael VII, but could also be overstruck on any number of Anonymous Folles Classes A through H.
Worth about $10.00 in that grade.

I hadn't noticed this before, but you are right.
Thanks for the ID, guys.
