You are not missing anything. I'd pay a dollar for it and spend it.

No I don't think you are missing anything, I think PCGS is missing something...is that really an MS67? It looks beat up to me.

I would hate to see an MS66 or MS65 if thats what they look like.

  • Those are hard to come by in that grade.

With that being said, I wouldn't pay that for it simply b/c like Paul said it looks terrible for a 67.

I will most likely buy one of those in 66 or 65 and save my cash for other investments.

Certainly not one of those! Maybe a Barber half in MS64, or a Standing Liberty quarter - something that will retain its value (and hopefully appreciate over time). The Washington dollars have only been out for a month and a half, and there are millions of them that haven't been examined. The MS67 population can only go up. As far as being first day of issue, that's not a big deal for most collectors. In a year, it's possible that it'll be a $50 coin.

That coin is no 67. Probably not better than a 65.

$1,025 actually a bit soft. Haven't these regularly gone for near $1,100-1,250 lately?

You might have gotten a bit more in a non-scratched holder. image

I remember when you could have all you wanted for $750 or so. image

I would say that coin is disgustingly overgraded

  • ...i would say to pay that much for a coin where the pop. will be huge is one of the stupidist buys i ever heard of
  • It that is a 67 then the 2 I sent in should come back as 69's!
