Gators won last night - what a shocker!!! :)

Seems like it was all preordained or something.

I forgot to even watch the game, just saw the highlights on ESPN this morning.

Was on way too late for me. I watched first ten minutes only because I had them winning in my bracket. Even though I got 97.5% correct I finished 74,000 plus something. It will be more interesting to see if he stays at Fl or takes the KY job.

Now the serious negotiations begin on where he will be next season. Florida says if they lose him it will not be because of money, they say
they can match or beat any offer from Kentucky.
  • They can thank Ohio State for missing 19 of their 3 point attempts. It was a better game than the score indicated

OSU missing threes was not happenstance; Florida led the nation in defending the three (among real schools). Technically they were 2nd behind Belmont.

At this time I assume there is no point in discussing the fact that no foul was called on Oden as long as the opposing player survived. The two teams have played twice, and Florida was not challenged either time. OSU is a good team, and if the two teams played a series, OSU would win a few (at home). They would never win at Florida, and probably not on a neutral site.

The better team won, and only an OSU lackey would attempt to challenge that point.
  • Spare me your lackey talk....I watched this game again this morning and of Ohio State's 23 3-point attempts - 9 were contested - hardly suffocating defense. What fouls should have been called on Oden? And if you were paying attention it was Florida's MO to foul, so why is this such a surprise to people?

And by the way Noah is the for sure the M.O.P - Most Overrated Player.

You couldn't be more right....does anyone think for a second this guy will do anything in the NBA?

I have no idea. Apparently the people who evaluate talent for a living think that he will. Anyway, we will know in a few years.
  • Agreed on Noah.

And what's with Billy Packer constantly saying Oden is tired? Ohhhh, look at him he's sooo tired.
Oden is very tired right now......
He's 18 years old! He plays basketball all the time. How can he be tired? Wait till he plays 185 games in the NBA. If he really was tired last night, just wait.

Oh, and memo to Billy Packer: Its Billy DON-avan.....not DUN-avan. Sheez!

Noah sucks! And, he came across like an uneducated idiot in his post-game comments. Of all the players that came back for another run at Florida, he's the one that cost himself the most money in the NBA - his lack of game was really exposed this tournament.

One of my observations about the game is that I think OSU was hurt by Oden being on the court too much. With Oden on the floor the offense often looked to be a half second behind. The perimeter players tended to be more stationary and easier to defend. In previous games when Oden was on the bench, Conley & Co. were more active on offense either driving to the basket or dishing out for the three in rythmn by Lewis, Butler, or Harris. Oden did have a great game, but I feel that overall the team suffered by not setting him down for short periods of rest near TV timeouts.
