I don't gamble anymore, but if I did, I'd put my kidneys on the Phillies today. I think kidneys are worth about $10,000 apiece ain't they? - LOL
Phillies are taking down the Braves, GUARANTEED, and it's onward to the NL pennant - one game at a time.
Go Phillies!!!!!

Come on now, I forget what season it was, a few years ago, but the Royals surprised everybody with an amazing run before fading in September. I know it doesn't look good for them and don't want to whitewash it, but you never know. In any event good luck. KC has some great fans and the Royals deserve something good.
Oh well...161 - 1 would be acceptable.
Good thing you don't gamble, lol. Sillies are a game back of the NL East champion Mets and the lead will only widen from here, I hate to tell you....not!

It's gonna be kinda hard to live another 40 years without kidneys
<< <i>I know you guys got Gorden pegged for leaving the most runners stranded already but he could be the start of good things in KC. Good luck, (except when you play the Sox) >>

If you see on TV the fan at Citizens Park rooting for the Phillies hooked up to a dialysis machine - that would be me.
The Phillies manager had these guys pumped and primed to get off to a fast start. And the books had this game at Phillies -112 against SMOLTZ. I know this isn't the Smoltz of ten years ago but it's still Smoltz fresh on opening day. So it seems the books were itching to get Braves money thinking the Phillies were strong favorites. "Everything" leaned towards a Philly win and everything goes right except for the final score in extra innings.
Oh well...it's a long season.
For someone who no longer bets, you certainly keep abreast of that line, don't you Steve.
Don't worry, there's always the wildcard...

off the ball and it won't matter if we give runs up late. Actually I thought it was classy for the youngsters not to kill Smoltzy.
We will be busting out the whooping stick tomorrow.

PS Eagles, Flyers, Sixers......do we see a trend here?
One of ineptitude, that's for sure!
The Phils' bullpen is worse than I thought.

I enjoy analyzing the games and analyzing the bookies point of view is a part of that. They are the true experts, not some sports betting tout service which all of them have no clue over anyone else who is going to win a sporting event. It always makes me laugh you get these sports touts who each year forecast games under dozens of different names and choose dozens of different games, and the odds say that some of those "names" are going to get hot - then they'll broadcast how they picked all these "winners" including verification with some Las Vegas verification service. Well of course they conveniently forget about mentioning all those alt-id losers they also had verified but of course they're not going to advertise that - LOL.
Those sports touts are such a scam when they imply in any way, shape or form that anyone can make money in the long-run betting on their picks. Betting sports against a bookies house edge is the exact same thing as picking random numbers - nobody wins in the long-run against the vig - Nobody! But for sports talk and smack talk, I enjoy doing it, and the nice thing is it doesn't cost me any money! Does cost me some pride though - LOL.
I shouldn't let one game get me so p*ssed off - it's tough being a Philadelphia sports fan - I don't recommend it for the weak at heart. - LOL

<< <i>wow, the pen looks good again for us this year. Thats ok, it will take 1 day for Howard and company to start ripping the cover
off the ball and it won't matter if we give runs up late. Actually I thought it was classy for the youngsters not to kill Smoltzy.

I hate to say it but that could be a valid implication. Philadelphia fans root so hard for their teams, there are theories that this rubs off on the players with them trying too hard, getting too tight, which doesn't enable them to give their best performance. It's a theory which could be correct. The bad news...ain't a dam thing anyone can do about it because that's the way Philadelphia fans are and that's the way we're always gonna be...for better or for worse.
