To list or not to list...your opinions requested

Hello all... I wanted to ask the experts regarding two fairly high end items that are to be bound for eBay. Question is simply with eBay istings being quite light lately and with "Spring Fever" abounding would it be a bad idea to list the following cards this weekend:

1911 T3 Turkey Red Walter Johnson PSA 4 Turkey Red Back (another of the same grade on Memory Lane right now)

1956 Topps Braves Team, with Date and White Back (the last two sold for ~$1800 in the past two months)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

wait until the one that is currently listed ENDS and see where it goes.

You could hurt your bids by having it up at the same time as another one.

On the other card, I haven't a clue. If you list it, make reference to the 1800.00 auction and even provide a link to it in your description to help your cause.
  • I agree with goose. The ML auction is only going to help your cause when you list the T3 in particular. There is a voracious appetite out there for T3s right now. The auction could set a record for it and that will help your listing IMO.

Plus if you list today with a 7 day auction, it would end on Easter Sunday.

Will people be home watching the final round of the Masters and surfing eBay or will they be out with their families?? Hard to tell. The safe bet would probably be wait until the other one ends and the holiday weekend is over.

With snipe programs more popular then ever do you guys really think it is disadvantagous <sp> to end listings on Easter sunday?

as for the cards in question i think they will do very well regardless of when they are listed.

Lots of people are taking vacations this week or next week. There are also quite a number still doing their taxes.

I wouldn't recommend listing until after the 15th.

Steve, I agree with you. High end/Great cards will sell well regardless of whether the listings end at 12:05 AM on New Year's Day.
