watermellon toned lincoln

I recieved this coin to finish out a trade to local dealer. I don't usually collect lincolns but when I saw it in his junk box I thought it was too pretty too pass.
The reverse of this coin has a bright green rim with irridescent red center. Looks like a watermellon cut in half. The coin is in A PCGS MS65RB holder.
Any explanation for the toning on the reverse, I am guessing the coin spent some time in an old album. Trying to photo this color is very hard.
any thoughts
