1893 VAM-4

I wonder why, with less than 380,000 coins minted in Philadelphia in 1893, that this coin doesn't receive much respect value-wise. Anyway...this is the first time I've owned this Top 100 variety.

Never made any sense to me either. The P's and O's barely add up to the CC's total mintage and everyone wants the CC. The CC's get all the loveimage (We will leave the S's out of the equationimage)

i wonder if there is something that isnt to be known by the average joe collector
about the value of a coin as a to its volume of minted pieces.
why is it many higher mintages of some coins are worth more than their
    lower minted counter parts?
    i need more kool-aid maybe?

Thanks Dorkgirl, I like it, rim bumps and all. Maybe in the furure things will turn around. I notice that this year and mint mark has been on the move in the past few years.

I agree. The date and then that VAM and PLs are underrated and underfollowed because of the mintmarked ones.
