That's very interesting- what is a "pike slip"? It looks like a giant hat on the reverse... image

Very Nice. Struck-over CWT's are neat! (and getting more expensive)

Pikes Slip was the name of a boat slip or pier which was located on the east side of lower Manhattan. Other slips nearby were Coentes Slip and Pecks Slip. Pikes Slip Shades was probably a watering hole of sorts because of the beer glass depicted on the token. Before any bridges were built there were many ferries operating from these slips bringing passengers to and from Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Collecting eye-appealing Proof and MS Indian Head Cents, 1858 Flying Eagle and IHC patterns and beautiful toned coins.

Nice coin. What do CWT's cost that are struck over a US cent? Curious as to how affordable they are.

    It's struck over a 1858 SL Flyer.

They are getting more expensive - the first one I bought was $1200 and they are more than double that now, if you can find one with a recognizable undertype.
