1993 Lincoln cent with no three?

In case is not yet apparent im relatively new to the coin world but I do enjoy the search. I have found a 1993 with no three. There is no evidence of damage to the plainchant at all. Has any one ran a crossed this?

  • these are pretty common. Occasionally, areas of dies, such as the numbers, will be filled by grease, and the number will be obliterated
  • If it is not smooth around the area of the 3, then it might be a filled die. Does the 1993 have a unique characteristic to the die; how did you know it was a 93?

  • In the picture, you can clearly see the indent of what would have been a 3 at the top of the three. It is quite smooth.
