Presidential Coin Subscription Ad in USA TODAY

ksammutksammut Posts: 1,076 ✭✭✭
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Back in February (around the 14th), there was an ad in USA Today for a subscription to the Presidential Dollar Series. If I remember correctly, you received 13 George Washington Coins and a guarantee to receive 13 coins for each new Presidential coin that will be released.

I placed an order by phone and have not received it yet. I failed to keep the ad after I made the call.

Did anyone else happen to order this particular subscription from that ad? If so, have you received your order? Do you happen to have the ad containing the phone number of the company.

I have sent an email to USA TODAY's advertising department but have not heard back from them yet.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

  • Were you billed?

Was it the company with the map of the 3 ordering "zones" where each part of the nation has a different phone line? They go by 'World Reserve Monetary Exchange.'

  • Don't trust them! Here is a link to check out: This link is about the $2 bills they were selling by saying they are rare. http://coincollector.org/archives/003358.html
The person who owns the company (who's name I forgot) got in some trouble a few years ago.
What they do is take crappy coins and seal them in tubes and sell them.
I'll keep looking for the name.

    Thanks Pentimento.

You are correct. It was the company that had 3 ordering zones.

I was not billed but did like the offer they made.

Thanks again for the information. I will now try to track down an email address or phone number.

    Thanks the4X4man for the warning.

You are all very helpful. I am glad I found this forum.

Does anyone know of a good subscription service for the presidential coins?

  • Any bank that still has them. It will save alot of money. You can buy them for $25 from a bank, or spend $35.95 plus shipping from the mint. Link: http://www.usmint.gov/
    Have a good one.

Get them at the bank and only pay face value for them.

Thanks again everyone for the suggestions and for welcoming me to the forum.

I did purchase a number of rolls from the bank and plan on doing so when each coin comes out. Most banks are now out of the George Washington Rolls due to so many people trying to find the errors.
