I've about given up on Capital Plastics...

I *love* the look of my Kennedies, Ikes, Roosies, etc in the white capital plastic 60-80 coin holders but it's getting super annoying with all of the new gimmicks like satin finish and special "W" mint marks. Most of my Capital Plastics holders now look outdated. Anyone who ran out and spent $79 x 4 for PDSS 50 state Washington quarters holders are now kicking themselves because there's going to be additional quarters for Guam, Samoa and a bunch of other places no one has ever even heard of, much less went to.

Won't they make a separate holder for the territories? If so you can still have the 50 states and then an additional "addendum" holder. Besides "50 States" sounds better than "x states + territories."

I'm sure they will, but that's just one example of the problem. I consider satin finishes a seperate collectable, for example. And my Silver Eagle holder has no hole for the W Uncs.

It sounds like your beef should be with the mint slowly Canadianizing themselves.

No kidding, imagine the frustration on the part of Capital Plastics! Whatever holders for complete sets they spent time to make and hoped to sell, are likely now unsalable except at below wholesale. Not much they can do about it, probably scrap the material back into raw form and try yet again...

You ust have a seperate holder made up labeled "The United State Territorries and Possessons "ME TOO!!" Quarters"

Really, what do you expect when you are having holders made up for series that haven't ended yet? You have no idea what new date, mint, finiish, or varieties will appear in the future, so how do you know how many holes, labels, or even what size to make the holders. If your going to get expensive holders, or even worse pay for custm ones, wait until the set has ended. Or don't complain when your holders become outdated.

So you're suggesting people wait 10+ years for the state, territory, etc... quarter program to end before buying anything to put them in?

First, you made the mistake of buying NEW capital plastic holders. Just buy them used, and either scrap the dates with an exacto knife or sand them off and rebuff the plastic. Sure its work, but its cheap and easy to do. I had to do for my third Lincoln board because Capital plastic does not produce the sequential third board to match what they made 35 years ago. This also allowed me to add the 82 varieties, and 83/84/95 DDO as well.
I have 5 blue quarter boards that are about to get the same treatment.

Nope, I'm saying wait the ten+ years before you buy something EXPENSIVE to put them in. Put them in something protective and cheap until then.
