Ebay rack pack success

For the heck of it, I thought I would take a crack at a couple of 1985 Topps rack packs. I did not choose this seller for any particular reason but just took a (rare) chance. Well, I cracked my four packs and got TWO Clemens rookies! A VERY pleasant surprise! I'll get a pic of them later...one pretty off centered and one better centered but still not what I would send into PSA. Just thought I would share because we so often see all the bad stories and rarely a good one with unopened material.

sometimes it is not about the PSA-10 card, but just the thrill of ripping a pack and getting the big Kahuna! Congrats!!

Youre right...I was stoked. No McGwire but other great cards...Mattingly, Eric Davis rookie, two Dwight Gooden rookies too

I've bought from Anthony_320 before too, and pulled some decent cards from his packs.
  • Great story! Congrats on the rookies!
  • I bought a pack of 1976 OPC WHA off ebay about a year ago. When I got the pack out of the plastic baggie it was in. The wrapper was not sealed where the two sides meet. I looked very close and allthough the pack had a original looking roller seal mark on the back and looked unopened. The pack was not sealed. I decied to just open the pack and find out what gems were inside scince I knew I got burned. Well... the last card in the pack was backwards front face toward the wax. All of the rest of the cards were in the same direction facing the front of the pack. When I faned the cards out one HOWE and one HULL were staring me in the face. Glad I opened the pack instead of just complaing to the seller.
